Michael Hatzer is a Supervising Digital Colorist at Picture Shop in Hollywood, with over twenty-five years of experience shaping the look of motion pictures through color timing and digital color grading.

Before the digital intermediate era, Michael photochemically timed more than 125 features at Deluxe Film Laboratories, along with hundreds of trailers and extensive studio dailies. As the industry transitioned to digital, Hatzer moved into DI at EFILM in 2005, becoming part of the early evolution of modern color grading workflows.

Today, he leads a color design team at Picture Shop, grading feature films, trailers, streaming television, and digital content at the highest level. His work spans collaborations with many of the most respected directors and cinematographers in contemporary cinema, including Steven Spielberg, the Coen Brothers, Sam Mendes, Alejandro González Iñárritu, M Night Shyamalan, Janusz Kamiński, Emmanuel Lubezki, Roger Deakins, John Toll, and Dion Beebe.

He is an Associate Member of the American Society of Cinematographers.
